Join Rediscover on Saturday, March 14 for a family-friendly open house. Enjoy an immersive puppet show, small bites, and art activities.
Puppets & Play will be an unforgettable evening of participatory theater, puppets, and activities. Enjoy performances led by some of Los Angeles' most talented puppeteers, artmaking with Rediscover Center's Teaching Artists, and catering provided by HEIRLOOM LA. Perfect for adults and families to experience hands-on sustainable art activities, all-ages entertainment, and free bites!
Doors open at 5pm with the puppet show at 6pm. The site includes ample on-site and street parking. Free entry includes food and live entertainment, with a cash bar with all proceeds going to summer camp programming for underserved youth.
We hope you will leave this special evening "rediscovering" the joy of playful creativity on the Northeast side of Los Angeles. Puppets & Play is a preview of Rediscover Center Glendale, a pop-up youth makerspace and art center opening July 1.
You’re Making Creativity Possible
While this evening is free and open to the public, donations at the door support Rediscover Center Glendale. Every dollar raised supports Rediscover’s financial aid for youth who might not otherwise have access to maker and STEAM camps, ensuring every child gets a chance to dream big with recycled materials, power tools, and their imagination. You’re helping ensure that every child can experience the joy, confidence, and discovery that comes from making art with their own hands. $60 provides essential materials for a young maker. $250 sponsors a day of drop-in art activities. $500 covers a full week of camp for a child in need. $1,000 funds a field trip for a visiting summer school.
