The one-and-only Electric Cheetah Cabaret Soiree is back for another round of mayhem and comedy gold. Welcome to the best mish mosh of zany puppetry, unforgettable clown shticks, drag shenanigans, and fabulous live music. Esmerelda hosts this lava lamp of a cabaret at the legendary Kibitz Room. You may get roped into a pickle seance! Anything is possible!

Puppets & Play will be an unforgettable evening of participatory theater, puppets, and activities. Enjoy performances led by some of Los Angeles' most talented puppeteers, artmaking with Rediscover Center's Teaching Artists, and catering provided by HEIRLOOM LA. Perfect for adults and families to experience hands-on sustainable art activities, all-ages entertainment, and free bites!

Doors open at 5pm with the puppet show at 6pm. The site includes ample on-site and street parking. Free entry includes food and live entertainment, with a cash bar with all proceeds going to summer camp programming for underserved youth.

Puppets & Play is a preview of Rediscover Center Glendale, a pop-up youth makerspace and art center opening July 1.

You’ll see that Wizard of LA Variety, the rosy-cheeked RON LYNCH, ESMERELDA THE PUPPET, and TREVOR GOOBER as Ebenezer Scrooge! Plus, characters by The Varietyvillians (Suzanne Nichols, Cait Bidwell, Yasha Rayzberg, Amanda Sedaka, Iris Perry, & “Transatlantic Will” Marcil) with legendary character actor, Dr. M.C. GAINEY, and music from MIKE BOLGER and The Varietyville Sound (Madison Shearer, Jared Tashjian, & Fiddlin’ Tom Hanslowe), as well as cartoons from ISAIAH FERGUSON and puppetry by ALEX BARTLEY!

This hour-long show will feature a variety of acts from up-and-coming clowns in LA's burgeoning "plain clothes clown" community. Less red noses and big shoes, more silly playfulness and audience interaction. Families and kids of all ages, come on down!

Get ready for the best puppet cabaret… in a dive bar.. in a Jewish deli… and if that doesn’t intrigue you, then we can’t help you! Prepare for a night of wild surprises, zany characters, new acts, bits and shticks. Esmerelda hosts the one-n-only Electric Cheetah, packed with live music, hearty laughs, audience interactive comedy, pastrami, pickles and booze. C’mon… that’s fabulous!
